The telenovela “First Lady” produced by Channel 13 of Chile and distributed worldwide by Latin Media Corporation has seen excellent results in sales as well as in audience ratings during the its first trimester of 2011.
“First Lady” written by Sebastian Arrau has been sold to Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Uruguay, El Salvador, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Greece, Venezuela, Italy, Nigeria, Romania, Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam, and Singapore. There are also already negotiations in progress with other territories in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
The telenovela is currently being broadcast with excellent results in Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador and is about to culminate its broadcast in the Dominican Republic. “We are very happy with the excellent results the telenovela is achieving in sales and with the audience,” explains Mr. Jose Escalante, director at Latin Media Corporation. “First Lady breaks the mold of the traditional protagonist and it has an impeccable production.”
“First Lady” tells the story of a provincial young woman who moves to the big city to better herself and leave her humble origins behind and to sets her sight on the presidential candidate. In order to achieve her objectives, she won’t stop at nothing to step over anyone who crosses her path.
