The Kitchen Musical is a 13-part genre busting television series that combines good food, great wines and sizzling drama and comedy in the musical world of two-star restaurant, Avilon.
At the center of every 45-minute episode is Maddie, an upstart graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, Paris, and new Sous Chef. Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, Maddie struggles to stamp her creativity and individuality in a kitchen run by the brilliant, sarcastic, perfectionist Executive Chef, Alex Marcus. Fitting in with the rest of the staff isn’t any easier as the owner’s daughter, and Maddie’s talent is constantly being called into question by the others, and even herself. Thankfully, Maddie has her best friend, fellow Sous Chef and secret admirer, Daniel, as well as Uncle Harry, the General Manager, for support… but even they have their own demons to battle.
